I’m mom to three wonderful mini-dachshunds. Venice is 4 1/2 years old, and quite the little ham. He loves to show off all his tricks, especially the “pickpocket” trick that won him a blue ribbon at the 2009 MSPCA Walk For Animals.

Maggie Mae will celebrate her 17th birthday in April. We adopted her from Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue just before her 14th birthday, as her owners no longer wanted her after she went blind. She now participates in many events to help animals, including appearing in the MSPCA’s Fashion For Compassion event on Nantucket.

Marie is also a senior adopted from CCDR. She was found wandering the streets in October 2008, and I was originally going to foster her. I ended up falling in love with her on first sight, and adopted her several days later. Though she is battling cancer, she is a very happy old girl who lives every day to its fullest.

Venice, Maggie Mae, and Marie join me at work every day.
